1- Check whether the grinding wheel is suitable for use.
2- Make sure the tool rests and adjustment arms are clean, and wipe them with a brush or cloth if needed.
3- Set the 3 mm gap between the tool rests/adjustment arms and the grinding wheel.
4- Make sure the lenses of your safety glasses are clean, and be sure to wear them
5- Select the appropriate grinding wheel ( BLUE – GREEN ) based on the task and operation to be performed.

GREEN – For sharpening carbide tips;
6- Make sure the coolant reservoir is filled with water.
7- If the grinding wheel’s abrasive pores are clogged, dress the wheel.
8- Turn the grinding wheel switch to the operating position and check whether it’s running.
9- Make sure the coolant reservoir is filled with water.
10- Hold the workpiece to be machined firmly and precisely.
11- As a precaution against cracks, do not stand directly in front of the grinding wheel when starting it up.
12- Start your machine and begin machining only once your safety glasses are on.
Points to pay attention to while working on a bench grinder

4- Do not try to hold small workpieces with auxiliary tools such as pliers. Know that they should only be held with an appropriate, dedicated fixture.
5- Hold the workpiece firmly with your left hand while also holding and maneuvering it with your right hand according to the type of operation you’re performing.
6- Do not attempt to work on workpieces that are difficult to hold.
7- Never use the side faces of the grinding wheel.
8- Do not apply excessive pressure. If the machine is straining during operation, reduce the depth of cut.
9- Remember that the sparks produced are burning carbon, and prevent unnecessary heating of the workpiece by cooling it.
10- Watch the workpiece continuously during the operation, and never pay attention to your surroundings.
11- Once you’re sure your operation is finished, turn off the machine’s switch.
After working on a bench grinder
1- Stop the machine. Cool the workpiece and inspect it.
2- Wait for the grinding wheel to come to a stop; do not try to stop it by hand or with the workpiece.
