In this installment of our Interesting Machines series, we’ve dedicated our post to various and unusual interesting machines used across different sectors and fields.
Interesting Machines – Video 1
Every day, creative minds looking to take advantage of technology’s benefits come up with new and functional inventions. While some of the interesting machines in the videos featured in this section might not be very useful, their mechanisms can inspire the invention of other machines. They can also be interesting for young minds curious about mechanisms and machines.
The mechanism in the first part of this video is a hand model that makes a finger motion with circular movement (it works on a kind of sewing-machine logic).
Machine number 9 in the video is basically an annoyance machine 🙂 Someone presses the buttons, and a robotic arm comes out of the machine and pushes whichever button was pressed back to its original position. Joking aside, this is a multi-switch machine, and it takes some brainstorming to figure out where it could be used.
In part number 8, there’s a chain conveyor. Where and for what purpose it could be used is up to you.
In part number 7, there’s a hammer machine that operates with circular motion. With the help of a mechanism connected to an electric motor, you can sit and crack walnuts without expending much effort. Watch your hand 🙂
We couldn’t quite figure out what’s being attempted in part number 6 of the interesting machines video, or where it would be useful, but it’s definitely a nice system.
In part number 5 of the interesting machines video, a machine that smokes a cigarette on its own is shown. It’s a project that clearly took a lot of work.
Of course, you shouldn’t necessarily look at these as things that will be useful to us. Watch with the mindset of: what method was applied? Through what technique was the intended goal achieved, and how were the mechanisms and parts used? It can be a source of inspiration for other projects.
We’ll continue our Interesting Machines series.
